Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Vozie collects when you practice speaking, how recordings are analyzed, and the choices you have about your data.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

When you ask Vozie to analyze a speaking exercise, we use Vercel, Supabase, and OpenAI to process your recording and exercise data for transcription, scoring, and feedback. We do not sell this data or use it for advertising. We do not use your data to train or fine-tune any AI models, and we do not permit our service providers to do so.

Information we collect

  • Account information: your email address, name, account identifier, and basic profile information received through Apple or Google sign-in.
  • Voice recordings: audio you choose to record during an exercise after granting microphone access.
  • Speech and exercise data: transcripts, prompts, answers, timing, delivery measurements, scores, feedback, and other analysis derived from a session.
  • Technical and usage data: device, browser, operating-system, diagnostic, crash, security, and feature-interaction information.
  • Support communications: messages and attachments you send when asking for help or exercising a privacy right.

Vozie is not designed to identify you through facial recognition or a voiceprint. If we introduce an identity or biometric feature, we will provide additional notice and obtain any consent required by law.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account, operate speaking exercises, transcribe and analyze sessions, generate personalized feedback, remember progress, provide support, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.

We may review recordings, transcripts, exercise responses, feedback, and derived results to investigate errors and check the reliability of Vozie’s scoring and feedback. We do not use this material to build advertising profiles.

We do not use your personal data, recordings, transcripts, exercise responses, or derived data to train or fine-tune any AI models, including Vozie’s own models and third-party models. This also applies to de-identified copies of that data. We do not permit our service providers to use it for model training or fine-tuning.

AI processing and service providers

When you submit a speaking exercise for analysis, we use these service providers:

  • Vercel: hosts web services and provides AI Gateway, which relays recordings, transcripts, exercise context, and analysis requests to OpenAI. Requests may include your account identifier for usage limits and request management.
  • Supabase: provides account services, runs the mobile app’s analysis backend, and stores recordings, transcripts, scores, and feedback privately, linked to your account.
  • OpenAI: its Whisper model transcribes your recordings. Other OpenAI models process transcripts, exercise prompts, timing, and speech measurements to evaluate your response and generate feedback.

The request sent for AI analysis does not include your name or email address as a separate data field, although personal information may be present if you say it in a recording.

These providers may process the data only to perform the services Vozie requests. Our agreements require them to protect it using safeguards that are the same as or equivalent to those described in this policy. We do not permit them to use your recordings, transcripts, or related data for advertising or to train or fine-tune any AI models.

AI-generated feedback can be incomplete or inaccurate. It is intended for speaking practice and should not be treated as medical, mental-health, employment, legal, or other professional advice.

Sharing

We do not sell your voice recordings. We may disclose information to service providers for the purposes described above, when required to comply with law or protect people and the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets where appropriate safeguards apply.

We do not use Google account data for advertising or to train or fine-tune any AI models. See our Google OAuth Disclosure for details.

Data retention

We retain account and session information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, analyze, and improve Vozie. Voice recordings, transcripts, scores, and feedback may be retained in private account-linked storage after a session so we can provide progress history, investigate errors, and improve scoring reliability.

When you request deletion, we delete or de-identify account-linked information unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or dispute purposes. Aggregated information that no longer identifies you may be retained.

Your choices and rights

  • You can decline microphone access, although recording features will not work.
  • You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of account-linked information, subject to applicable law.
  • You can disconnect Apple or Google sign-in through the provider, but disconnecting does not itself delete your Vozie account.
  • You may submit a deletion request using our Data Deletion page.

Children

Vozie is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided data without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Vozie and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to protections required by applicable law.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Vozie changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to andriy@artlylabs.com.
